ABOUT THE EVENT
This one comes with something extra.
Our founder was in Colombia this summer when the earthquake hit, and watched kids lose their schools. So the October 18th tournament is also a fundraiser.
Entry is $28. Anything you add on top goes to rebuilding classrooms in rural Risaralda. 100% of it, not a portion.
Adding a donation is completely optional and separate from your entry fee. Chessathon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and you'll get a receipt with everything you need for your records. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Your $28 entry fee is not, since it's payment for the tournament itself.
