I am a sophomore at The Branson School and currently ranked among the top 80 juniors worldwide and number 8 in the United States for my age group. I am also a 2800 Blitz player on Chess.com, which places me in the top 1000 players in the world. From first-hand experience, I know that real growth in chess does not come only from studying but also from testing skills in real tournaments. With Chessathon, I am excited to bring community-driven competitions to the Bay Area and to help kids experience the thrill of tournament play, build resilience, and discover the joy of competing together.

 

A fun fact about me is that besides chess, my favorite board games are Poker and Catan.
